Things you need to know

• If you’ve never started a business before then there will undoubtedly be things you don’t even know that you don’t know! This workshop has been designed to make you aware of what it is you need to do and to know before you get too far down the track.
• It will give you an idea of some of the basics that you need to have in place and will allow you to ask some of the questions you will no doubt have.

How to manage the money

This workshop will:

• Help you to get greater understanding of financial matters related to your business
• Help you to develop greater confidence in understanding cashflow, making a profit and managing your money

Sales and Marketing

This workshop will help you:

• Understand your target market
• Profile your customers
• Find your USP
• Plan you research
• Decide on your pricing structure
• Understand features, benefits and advantages
• Decide on the best ways to reach your customers and how to keep them

The workshops run throughout the year and are a cost effective way of getting some of the information that you need. Each workshop is £25.00 (Plus VAT) to attend, which includes slides on the day, various hand-outs that are pertinent to the subject and refreshments on the day.

There will also be a number of ad-hoc workshops that we will be running such as Book Keeping and Social media type training.

Evolve Adviser sessions

For those people that need a little bit more support or that would like to meet someone to discuss their thoughts in more depth, we are able to offer a 2 hour session with a qualified Start-Up Adviser. This service costs £75.00(Inc. VAT) for a session lasting up to 2 hours. These sessions allow you to discuss your business or your business idea in much more depth and will add real value to you and your business. Evolve Advisory Service

You can have as many individual sessions as you need or you can opt to go for our premium Start-Up Service called Evolve Advisory Service which entitles you to 4 adviser session of 2 hours, plus 1 years free membership of our Connect service once you start your business. This costs £300.00 (Inc. VAT), but in value terms is worth well over £1000.00 when you take into account the discounts that are available to Connect members. Evolve Start-Up Programme

In partnership with WEA, a charity that helps personal development, NBV has put together a start-up programme which covers a wide range of both technical and personal new business development issues.
