Farmers can apply for this grant online to the Countryside Productivity Small Grant Scheme, requesting a grant between £3,000 and £12,000 towards the costs of farm equipment.
In 2017 Defra also opened a series of offers for larger grants through the Countryside Productivity scheme. Farmers can apply for grants of over £35,000 for a range of different projects, including for making more efficient use of resources, processing products, and other innovative projects. The scheme will be open to applications from 7 February 2018 to 14 March 2018 (Midday).
The grant amounts available are between £3,000 - £12,000
The RDPE Countryside Productivity Small Grant scheme provides funding for farmers to purchase equipment to improve the productivity of their farm. The scheme is different to other parts of the Countryside Productivity scheme as it uses an online application process and is targeted at supporting investment for specific pieces of agricultural equipment.
The grants are funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD). and are also supported by the Rural Payments Agency.
