Support Schemes

There are a number of schemes in Lincolnshire to help you improve your skills, or the skills of your employees, or to contribute to the costs of employment in particular circumstances. Free advice and free training is available.  See the list of support schemes on the left hand menu.

Training your workforce is just one way to obtain the skills your business needs, you may choose to employ a new member of staff. As a general rule there is no financial support available to help you employ a new member of staff. These costs should be met by your business.

There are a few schemes that pay a contribution to employing people in certain circumstances. See Access to Work| and Graduate Internship Scheme|.  You may also be eligible to receive a payment if you employ an Apprentice|.

Your local Colleges and training providers have full details of the training that you and your staff can attend  - contact them to find full details.  Lincolnshire County Council also provide a learning programme - not just for employers and employees - but for anyone wishing to enhance their skills through a short course in anything from IT to Cooking skills.  Click here| to access the website.
