Lincoln Business Improvement Group
Lincoln Business Improvement Group (Lincoln BIG) is dedicated to raising the quality of experience throughout Lincoln city centre for businesses, residents and visitors. Our basic philosophy is that by improving people’s experience of the city centre, they will stay longer, visit more often and it will make Lincoln city centre a better place to do business.
This aim is delivered through a programme of investment around activities including:
- Security Group
- Street Management and Wardens
- Lincoln in Bloom and Seasonal Street Decoration
- Events and Promotions
- Car Parking and Access Schemes
- Evening Economy Management, including Pub Watch
Businesses with a rateable value of over £5,000 in Lincoln City Centre voted to create Lincoln BIG in 2005 and supported it again for a further 5 years in 2009, all of these businesses automatically become its levy payers and benefit from its services.
