Recycling Plant Creates A Dozen New Jobs
A recycling plant in Gainsborough will create around 12 new jobs, thanks to a £1.15 million loan from the government.
The investment in Eco Plastics, which is already a leading recycler in the country, will not only mean the factory can recycle 15,000 tones more but also help towards expanding the current premises.
Eco Plastics managing director Jonathan Short said: "The processing of non-bottle rigid plastics packaging is the next step in UK plastics recycling infrastructure.
"But it is vitally important that we don't run before we can walk – it must be in place before we encourage further collections across the UK."

Village Marina Approved, Boost For Local Economy
A proposal for a 220-mooring marina in Cherry Willingham has been approved, providing the local economy with 70 jobs.
As well as moorings for travellers along the River Witham, the marina will also host a hotel, bar and restaurant, cafe, holiday homes and boat specific trades such as a chandlery and repair workshops.
Cllr Malcolm Parish, Chairman of the Prosperous Communities Committee explained: “This is a unique and exciting development and I hope it does help to attract tourists to the district."
LEP Receives Government Funding For County Initiatives
The Greater Lincolnshire Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has been granted £6.6 million to fund housing and commercial developments in Lincolnshire.
The funding form central government could be used to start new housing projects, or help projects good for the economy of the county that were put on hold.
Chairman of the Greater Lincolnshire Enterprise Partnership Ursula Lidbetter said:
“Ultimately, this is about boosting the economy and creating jobs. We’ll be looking to help existing schemes that have already made good progress, but are in need of funding to reach the next stage - this will be the quickest way to kick-start business and housing growth.”
