Aerospace Unlocking Potential (Aerospace UP) is a £20M three-year project (2020
to 2022), which aims to support the aerospace supply chain in the Midlands by
helping to unlock its innovation potential. The project is delivered by the
University of Nottingham and the Midlands Aerospace Alliance.
Eligible SME's can benefit from grants of between £1,000 and up to £100,000 for research projects to develop innovative technologies or products and services, free access to expert support, events and workshops covering a wide range
of subjects, including new technologies, process innovation, productivity
improvement, business systems etc.
SME's can also access student and graduate support opportunities, including internships and industrial placements alongside fully-funded support packages provided through the University’s Precision Manufacturing Centre, including: consultancy on design for manufacture, access to machines and technical staff, prototyping, metrology, toolmaking
etc.
During this session you will hear about the overall project, who is eligible and how to apply. You will also hear from local companies who have already been through the application process and are now working on projects funded by Aerospace UP.
