About the course deliverer;

Rachel Linstead, Managing Director of Firecracker, has worked with food businesses across greater Lincolnshire for over fourteen years assisting them to ensure that they conform to food labelling and nutritional information legislation. Her services also support them in delivering best practice food manufacturing and technical procedures.

As a qualified food technologist and nutritionist (HNC in Food Science and Technology, Diploma in Nutritional Therapy (ION) / Foundation Degree (University of Bedfordshire) Rachel is excellently placed to support food businesses of all sizes; over the last twenty-five years Rachel has worked with large global organisations, small family-run businesses, and everything in between. With this vast experience and her professional qualifications, Rachel adapts her approach to suit individual business’s needs and to offer them examples of industry leading practices.

To date, Rachel has analysed over 8,000 recipes for a range of businesses, including one of the large UK supermarket chains, national, regional and local businesses, food writers and chefs.

Rachel holds qualifications in food science & technology, nutritional therapy and food safety and has many years of experience in technical consultancy including ingredient declarations, allergen identifications, food label verification and food storage guidelines.
