Event Information

If you manufacture, prepare or sell food you need to understand which ingredients may cause allergic reactions and how to make your customers aware that they are present in the food they are consuming.

During this one-hour workshop our food standards expert, Angela Kane, will provide an overview of the allergen labelling requirements and help you gain an understanding of Natasha's Law (otherwise known as the Food Information (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2019), which comes into force in October 2021.  These changes make it a legal requirement for all food retailers and operators to display full ingredient and allergen labelling information on every food item they sell 'prepacked for direct sale'.

This informative, online session will cover:

·       An introduction to the new allergen labelling and why the changes to allergen information are being introduced;

·       What is meant by prepacked for direct sale (PPDS) food and how to identify if you will be affected;

·       What allergen information needs to be on food labels and how to ensure your food labels are compliant;

·       Examples and scenarios of prepacked for direct sale food.

There will also be the opportunity to ask questions specific to your business needs directly to Angela.

Don’t miss this chance to gain clarity of what the new regulations mean for your operations and the measures you may need to take to ensure compliance ahead of 1 October 2021.
