Industry 4.0 is too big a concept for many SMEs to take on board, but when it is broken down into ‘smaller chunks’ – for example additive manufacture, RFID, data analytics, machine learning etc. – it becomes a little more relevant; focus on practicalities and it becomes realistic.

This breakfast briefing will provide you with an opportunity to gain a broader understanding of what Industry 4.0 is about, including the core principles and technologies and how these can be applied. Held in partnership with Streets Chartered Accountants and NatWest, the morning will feature a panel discussion where we will explore:

      ·        Examples of solutions that are altering the manufacturing industry;

      ·        The experiences of three Lincolnshire based businesses who are benefiting from Industry 4.0 technologies – Autocraft Drivetrain Solutions Ltd represented by Dr Sara Ridley, Micronclean managed by Robert Parker and Viking Signs Ltd led by Darren Joint;

      ·        Any burning questions you have for our panellists.

Shifting focus to what’s being done now to prepare the county’s manufacturing sector, there will also be an introduction to the University of Lincoln’s ‘Industrial Digitalisation for the 21st Century’ project which aims to identify and close skills gaps in digital literacy.

Finally, there will be a showcase of the Motion Capture Technology Hub where technologies such as motion capture systems, high speed cameras, 3D scanning and 3D printing will be discussed. Hear about projects these advanced technologies have been applied to and discover how they can transform your workplace. To round off the session, a live demonstration of the motion capture system will be provided.

Book a place today and find out how your business can stay ahead of the competition.
