Unexpected Ways to Develop Yourself and Others Workshop - by Endor Learn & Develop A FREE workshop funded by ERDF Collaboration 4 Growth (C4G project) in collaboration with Lincoln BIG, presented by Chamber members Endor Learn & Develop This is a FREE workshop for all businesses, however priority will be given to those businesses in the eligible Collaboration 4 Growth areas of West Lindsey, City of Lincoln and North Kesteven.

Workshop dates:

Day 1 – Tuesday 21st January Day 2 – Tuesday 28th January Unexpected ways to develop yourself and others Is everything we know about the best way to develop employees flawed?

 

 

Want to extend the performance of yourself and others, but don’t have the time, the budget or the inspiration? Ready to take advantage of the growing trend towards short, self-directed learning, but don’t know where to start? During this high impact session we will challenge conventional thinking around how best to build potential in the workplace by drawing on the latest research into the science of people.

Throughout the programme, we will present a smorgasbord of highly improbable, yet evidence-based methods to develop capability in the workplace and deliver outstanding results through people. Featuring an eclectic range of insights including lessons from: Buddhism, hot yoga, social psychology, art negotiations, television quiz-shows and compulsive gambling; you will learn practical techniques which can easily be applied back in the workplace. With counter-intuitive approaches from: Google, The Gallup Organisation, Sir Isaac Newton, Martin Bashir, Stephen King, Steve Jobs, Anne Robinson, Adolf Hitler … and underperforming schoolchildren.

 

 

DAY 1 –DEVELOP YOURSELF Try out over 30 proven, provocative and perverse strategies to increase the productivity of yourself and others. Learn secret ways to strengthen relationships, have richer conversations and make more meaningful connections with everyone you meet. Discover how to focus all your energies on the specific activities which will bring you the greatest return in your role. Challenge everything you believe about effective group work by undermining one of the fundamental laws of physics. Practise a preposterous technique to extend your personal productivity. Unlock fresh ideas and quickly develop inventive approaches, learning counter-intuitive methods to generate creative thought. Apply subtle techniques to demonstrate interpersonal awareness and diplomacy. Evaluate your own ability to accurately read the unspoken messages and micro-expressions of other people. Adopt a more flexible mindset, in an instant - developing ways to suspend judgement and think more intuitively. Apply the high performance formula to reduce procrastination, sequence information in an engaging way and deliver enhanced results. Recognise how your choice of clothing may influence your ability to cope with everyday tasks. Change the way you look at stress forever and Introduce novel ways to bolster your personal resilience levels.

 

 

DAY 2 – DEVELOP OTHERS Develop the adaptive skills which are associated with success in role - reflecting the latest thinking on how to take charge of your professional growth. Discover what great managers do differently and find out the most reliable way to identify who they are in your own workplace. Apply a new, innovative way to construct powerful goals, guaranteed to deliver superior results. Investigate provocative ways to influence group discussions, exercising positive influence to enlist support and attract new allies. Make better informed decisions and avoid jumping to hasty conclusions. Build your personal credibility and impact by adopting one proven approach of the world’s most successful coaches. Identify and apply the main motivators which will impact on performance, using five simple ways to engage others and build loyalty. Confirm the most effective time to introduce any change at work and quickly identify who to support first, during times of transition. Use an adaptive toolkit to accurately predict future talent, in both teams and individuals. Fairly evaluate the overall performance of every employee and develop robust action plans to increase their levels of commitment and capability. Overcome barriers to collaboration in a rapidly changing environment. Practice perverse ways to generate long term trust and enhance team spirit.
