China’s New Foreign Investment Law: What It Means for Foreign Businesses

Hosted by Llinks Law Offices, this webinar series is designed to keep you updated with the latest legal and regulatory environment in China.

Event Information

The fist Webinar will focus on China's new Foreign Investment Law:

Following the enactment and implementation of China’s new Foreign Investment Law (FIL), more than 375,000 existing wholly foreign-owned enterprises (WFOEs) in China are subject to new compliance requirements and they need to be converted into limited liability companies before the end of 2024.

This leads to questions such as:

How to set up an entity in China under the new FIL regime?

How to adapt to the new FIL and ensure full compliance?

How would a foreign entity in China navigate the key issues such as negative list and access permit (including further liberalization of the financial sectors), capital flow and currency control, downstream investment and acquisition funding etc.

In this webinar, we will be looking at the FIL and how it impacts foreign investors looking to enter the Chinese market and those already operating in China.
