Big names and brands announced for Business Hive Live 2021

Published on: 20/09/2021

After two years away, the Business Hive is coming back bigger and better than ever!

This year's conference will be taking place at the Forest Pine's Hotel on Tuesday 5th October, and will feature two fantastic keynote speakers linked to some of the world’s biggest and best companies.

There will be over 40 exhibition stands for businesses to browse throughout the day, but the Hive’s well-known First Tuesday Breakfast Networking event, taking place from 9:00am until 10:30am, will be what truly kicks things off.

Mark Webb, Managing Director of E-Factor Group, said:

“Business Hive Live is such a positive event and one I look forward to every year. I am delighted the team is bringing it back. What’s not to like? Hundreds of business people and entrepreneurs, some amazing exhibition stands, and of course, the inspiring national keynote speakers that the Hive always brings to these events.

"Kicking off the day with the popular First Tuesday Networking event is a great move, one that gets people talking and offers a chance to be introduced to your next biggest customer!”

Taking to the stage first at 11:00am is Tim Wade, ex-Marketing Director for Best Western and founder of CX Lab.

Tim joined the world’s largest hotel chain, Best Western, as Marketing Director at the beginning of the financial crisis when the hotel sector wasn’t growing and the Best Western brand was performing poorly. Tim completely transformed the brand with “Hotels with Personality” becoming the strategy, and drove this through a complete transformation of customer experience, marketing, and a major culture change throughout the group. The results saw double-digit growth every year, with the Best Western brand becoming number one in its sector.

What leading businesses have in common is that they place the customer at the centre of their organisation. Tim’s talk will use behavioural science to challenge your thinking around understanding customer behaviour and will provide a practical application that makes a measurable difference.

Following a break for lunch, 2:30pm will bring Jeremy Schwartz, former Managing Director for L’Oreal UK, former CEO of The Body Shop and ex-Marketing Director for News International, Coca-Cola, Pandora and Sainsbury’s to the stage.

At Coca-Cola, Jeremy Schwartz created the multi-billion-dollar Coke Zero brand, at L’Oréal he launched the iconic “Because you’re worth it” line, and at Pandora he led the transition from stores to e-commerce focus, resulting in a 300% increase in share price.

At The Body Shop, Schwartz created the ground-breaking and highly successful vegan ranges, persuaded authorities around the world to protect endangered strips of rainforest, and travelled to the Amazon to source new ingredients and protect biodiversity by creating an income for local indigenous groups. Jeremy is paving the way for ambitious businesses to adopt his purpose-driven business and leadership methods. So, if you’d like to hear from a speaker who will engage you with their transformational content and engaging delivery, then booking early is advised.

Jo Taylor, Business Hive Manager, said:

“After two years away due to the pandemic, we are delighted to be bringing world-class speakers back to the Business Hive Live stage. This event will be a chance for businesses around the region to come together in celebration of surviving and thriving through what has been the toughest test of our generation.

"It is open to anyone in business who values meeting new connections and hearing from business leaders who have led international brands to phenomenal success. It promises to be a really uplifting day.”
