The Business Lincolnshire Growth Hub has launched a brand-new support offer to help Greater Lincolnshire’s high growth businesses reach their potential.
The Scale Up Programme offers one to one guidance, leadership and management programmes, coaching and mentoring support as well as access to National offers, to support rapid-growth businesses cope with the difficulties increased demand can have in periods of high growth.
Samantha Harrison, Head of the Business Lincolnshire Growth Hub said “Being able to offer this new programme brings exciting new opportunities for businesses in Greater Lincolnshire, and the growth potential for our county. By providing the guidance and options for businesses with high potential for growth, we are helping to increase their rate of success as they venture into new markets and evolve their current processes.”
Cllr Colin Davie, Executive Member for Economy and Place at Lincolnshire County Council and Greater Lincolnshire LEP board member, said "Periods of high growth are exciting for a business, but they can come with challenges, such as identifying highly skilled employees to bring into a business, accessing any additional finance needed, utilising the best leadership methods and adapting to new consumer markets. Therefore, I'm extremely pleased the Scale Up Programme will help businesses in Lincolnshire facilitate that growth."
‘Scaling up’ is a term used for a business which is growing at a rate of more than 20% per year, for a continuous period of 3 years. Currently, there are less 250 ‘scale up’ businesses in the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership region, which is expected to increase with the help of the programme. The programme will be led by Noreen Read, Scale Up Adviser for Business Lincolnshire who will provide expertise and guidance to local businesses, as well as helping to develop a strategic business plan for future growth.
