Smart Energy Greater Lincolnshire

What is the Business Support?

We can help your business save money and energy!

Smart Energy Greater Lincolnshire is a £9.2 million project that aims to provide free energy and low carbon services to small to medium businesses (SME’s) and Public buildings in the Greater Lincolnshire area. The programme is being delivered by North East Lincolnshire Council on behalf of Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).

A total of £5.4 million of the project has come from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), to boost renewable energy use in the area and lower carbon emissions.

SME Funding

If you are a small to medium enterprise located in the Greater Lincolnshire area with less than 250 employees and a turnover of less than 50 million euros; you could be eligible. We offer two different types of funding:

Workshop with a free £500 gift

For small energy projects e.g. replacement of lights, we can offer a £500 gift to help cover the cost. For this funding you must have received 12 hours business support from the programme.

A grant to cover 38% of an energy saving project

For larger projects we can help you cover the total cost with a grant of up to 38%. Examples are upgrading to LED lighting, or new boilers/heating systems.

As part of our service our expert partners, The University of Applied Sciences Trier’s Institut fur angewandtes Stroffstrom management (IfaS), who specialize in energy resource and efficiency; will come to visit your site to provide you with a free energy report with recommendations. Once the report has been produced it is then up to you what you do next.

Public Buildings

We are working with owners of public buildings to upgrade energy efficiency in buildings, generate renewable energy and install smart energy management systems. In order to be eligible they must be located within the Greater Lincolnshire area. Examples include schools and local authority buildings.
