Support Schemes

There are currently a number of support schemes in Lincolnshire to help you access training to improve your skills and the skills of your employees, or contribute to the costs of employment in particular circumstances. See the list of schemes on the left hand menu.

Support includes free advice about the training your business can benefit from and help to understand and link you with appropriate training. Depending on the type of training you want or need some will be free and some will have a charge associated.

Training your current workforce is just one way to obtain the skills your business needs, you may choose to employ a new member of staff. As a general rule there is no financial support available to help you employ a new member of staff. These costs should be met by your business. However there are a few schemes that pay a contribution in certain circumstances. See Access to Work and Graduate Internship Scheme.

It’s also worth knowing about Lincolnshire County Council funded ‘Grow’ programme. Not just for employers and employees, but for anyone wishing to enhance their skills through a short course in anything from IT to Cooking skills.
