Leading infrastructure consultancy Atkins have been commissioned by Lincolnshire County Council and the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership to produce a study that identifies the level of utilities required to enable Greater Lincolnshire’s significant growth agenda.
The study will underpin the Greater Lincolnshire Strategic Economic Plan, which aims to deliver approximately 100,000 new homes, 16,000 jobs and £3.2billion of economic growth by 2030. Study proposals will identify the level, cost, funding and constraints of the utilities required to enable this growth. It will also inform a delivery strategy, and should ultimately help to lever in public and private sector funding.
Realising the full development potential of Greater Lincolnshire is a key priority of the UK Government, alongside both Public and Private sectors. This study will play a key role in helping to bring forward development.
To ensure the final report is robust, effective and achievable, it is important that key stakeholders such as yourself feed in valuable information and thoughts to the process. Accordingly, we kindly request that you engage with the consultants, and provide the necessary information to help them develop this important piece of work.
This event at Hemswell Court, Gainsborough, is one of two local stakeholder events that will be held in April 2017, which will inform the local intelligence base.
The event will be partly an introduction to the study, but also will allow for more in-depth workshops, to engage local stakeholders' views on both the barriers and opportunities of dealing with the following utility areas of electricity, gas and water.
The event will start with registration between 9.30am -10AM, and will finish at 1PM.
