About the Event

 

Supporting innovation is a key Government strategy. Our seminar will look at the tools available to businesses to help them develop their ideas, grow their business, and protect their Intellectual Property. 

 

The seminar will begin at 8am following registration and breakfast rolls, tea and coffee.

 

The speakers will include:

 

Russell Copley - Innovation Programme for Greater Lincolnshire 

Russell will talk about how local businesses can access support through the programme to assist the exploration and delivery of their innovative ideas. 

Michelle Davis - University of Lincoln 

Michelle will explain how partnering with the University can help access national and European funding to support innovation. 

Lois Tack - Tax Manager, Duncan & Toplis 

Lois will provide an update on the much under-used R&D tax relief regime. She will also review the Patent Box scheme and recent changes to the tax treatment of IP. 

Kevin Hanson - Solicitor & Patent Attorney, Stratagem IPM 

Kevin will cover the importance of protecting your intellectual property and why having a well-defined intellectual property strategy can make the difference between success and failure. 

Following on from this will be an open question and answer session with Mark Taylor, Director of Duncan & Toplis.
