Kickstart your Business – the Kickstart Scheme

Free webinar by Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce for businesses who are interested in the Kickstart Scheme and available funding.

Event Information

Overview

The new Kickstart Scheme is open for applications, with an aim to create hundreds of thousands of new jobs for young people.

30 job placements need to be created to apply directly, but if your organisation is creating fewer placements, this free webinar will explain how the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce is working with its partner Lincoln College collecting employer demand to create the minimum of 30 job placements to apply as a Gateway Body on your behalf.

How Kickstart Scheme works

The Kickstart Scheme was set out in the ‘Plans for Jobs’ as part of the Governments response to the challenges posed by COVID-19.

Employers can use the Kickstart Scheme to create 6-month job placements for 16-24 years olds on Universal Credit who are at risk of long-term unemployment.

Employers of all sizes can apply for funding which covers; 100% of the National Minimum Wage for 25 hours per week for a total of 6 months and associated employer National Insurance contributions. There is also £1,500 per job placement available.
