Resolving infringement disputes and online protection

This session will introduce what to do if you infringe someone’s IP, or someone infringes yours.

Event Information

This is the last of four sessions on Intellectual Property.

This session will introduce what to do if you infringe someone’s IP, or someone infringes yours. This includes the numerous options for resolving IP disputes, and how to protect your product on e-commerce platforms.

You will also be shown where to find further guidance and resources available to help you enforce your IP rights.

Businesses create and use intellectual property (IP) all the time. Having the right type of IP protection can create value from your ideas. It can also prevent people copying the names of your products or brands, your inventions, the design or look of your products, and the things you write, make or produce.

In this four-part webinar series as part of the UK Export Academy, the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) will show you how managing your IP can strengthen your opportunities to export.

What is the UK Export Academy?

The UK Export Academy from the Department for International Trade (DIT) gives businesses the know-how to sell to customers around the world by learning from experts in international trade.
The UK Export Academy is open to any business in the UK who has a product or service that can be sold internationally. It is for businesses who know that they want to reach international customers and contracts in the future, as well as those who might already be selling beyond the UK and want to expand into new markets.
