About the Workshop

As GA4 becomes the default version of Google Analytics on 30th June, this masterclass will take a look at this version so you feel confident finding out about how your website is performing.

Over two sessions, these masterclasses are designed to walk you through setting up GA4 (the new version of Google Analytics) and Tag Manager to maximise the information you can gather about your website visitors. From there, you’ll explore all the major reports available to you and learn how these can give you invaluable insights into ways to boost traffic, enquiries, and sales from your website.

Designed for beginners upwards, even if you’ve never even seen GA4 or Google Analytics before, the webinars explain all the basics to leave you with a solid understanding of how to use Analytics and what you’re looking at in the reports! Understanding this data is key to identifying what works, what needs fixing and how your digital marketing efforts are performing.

Session 1 –Covers setup and configuration of Google Tag Manager and Analytics to ensure your website is gathering all the data possible and reporting in a meaningful way, especially conversions such as enquiry form submissions and ecommerce sales. The session then moves on to look at the Engagement reports in GA4 and how these differ from the previous Universal Google Analytics, exploring what you can find out about what people do on your website.

Session 2 –Explains all the remaining standard reports available in GA4, highlighting the ones that have most value and can point you to things that need improvement. The session also provides explanations of what the metrics really mean, so that you can interpret them correctly and how to create your own reports from the data GA4 gathers. This session also explains URL tagging to ensure you are accurately measuring all your traffic from email marketing, social media and ad campaigns.
