STEP Communications Event

Members of the STEP team will be at Alive Church to chat with you, provide more information about the STEP programme and answer any questions you might have.

Event Information

The UK Atomic Energy Authority are hosting a drop in event at the Alive Church Lincoln on Monday 4 December between 2pm and 6pm to provide more information about the STEP prototype fusion energy plant which is being developed at the West Burton site, just outside Gainsborough.

The STEP programme aims to demonstrate the cutting edge technology that will provide the ability to generate electricity from fusion and is the first project of this kind in the UK. The first phase of the programme is to produce a concept design by 2024 and at this community event, the STEP team will be sharing their initial thoughts on how the site might change in the decades ahead and will be available to talk through the characterisation work which has been going on at the site in recent months.

The event offers the opportunity for members of the community to share their thoughts on this important project.

STEP Communications look forward to seeing you.
