Business Lincolnshire are proud supporters of Digital Lincoln, a community of people interested in technology and the digital world. The Business Lincolnshire Growth Hub aims to recognise the growing contribution that the digital sector is making to the region’s economy.
Last year the Greater Lincolnshire Digital Landscape research reported a turnover for Lincolnshire digital businesses of £779 million or 1.6% of the sales turnover generated by all Greater Lincolnshire businesses. Although the digital sector is currently relatively small, jobs and value generated are growing significantly, with sales turnover increasing by an average of 26% between 2010 and 2015.
Digital Lincoln aims to build the tech community in Lincoln, sharing ideas and knowledge through a schedule of informal events and socials. There are currently 500+ members in the growing community of ‘tech savvy’ individuals, who are able to attend regular events hosted in and around Lincoln. The events alternate between both technical and non-technical topics, to ensure there is something there for everybody.
Digital Lincoln also hosts an active Slack channel for all of its members to discuss topics of interest and speak to like-minded individuals. If you would like to hear more information on Digital Lincoln, please visit www.digitallincoln.co.uk
