The Bus Recovery Grant (BRG), originally set up to support commercial bus operators in England due to the ongoing impacts of COVID-19, has been extended!
Last week, the Department for Transport updated the guidance on how to claim support from the Bus Recovery Grant (BRG) to reflect that the scheme will be extended for another three months until 30 June.
The funding will help passengers save money on fares, get more people on the bus and protect vital bus routes.
To claim the BRG, you must:
- Be a public bus operator running commercial or community bus services in England
- Have completed an existing application to join the BRG scheme
- Meet the eligibility criteria for the Bus Service Operators Grant (BSOG)
- Currently be running at 80% or more of pre-COVID-19 mileage levels
