Greater Lincolnshire and Rutland has a long and distinguished heritage in manufacturing and engineering. The sector plays a major role in the economy of the region, contributing £2.1 billion of total economic value and employing 41,000 people.
Business Lincolnshire’s first live show of the year on Tuesday 25 January will focus on this growing, key sector and explore the support available to help the industry to thrive.
We will learn about the manufacturing community that has been created through the Greater Lincolnshire Manufacturing Network (GLNM) and why your business should be part of it from the Chair of the Greater Lincolnshire LEP Manufacturing Board and Managing Director of Viking Signs, Darren Joint.
The Growth Hub’s Manufacturing Lead, Jeannine Thornley, will provide an update on the latest support available for the sector and share details of how Business Lincolnshire has celebrated the amazing manufacturing businesses that make our local economy great, in their interactive “Made in Lincolnshire” brochure.
We will hear first-hand experiences from Nick Dawks, General Manager of Spalding based Cabinets Direct Ltd, on how they've tapped into various strands of support to strengthen their capabilities, develop and grow.
Plus, the Growth Hub’s Digital Specialist, Stuart McFarlane-Bedford, will showcase the opportunities that the technology hubs bring for businesses using state-of-the-art equipment to assist with creating prototype products, developing new services or providing a greater level of detail to improve product lines.
You may ask questions about how you can benefit from the help on offer in advance of, as well as during the event. Please post in the event comments on the LinkedIn event page which can be accessed via the link below. Our guest speakers will then provide you with their thoughts on the day.
Look forward to seeing you at the show!
