Event Information
The Institute for Advanced Manufacturing (IfAM) is running a series of monthly breakfast events specifically for the manufacturing sector. These events are being held within the state-of-the-art Advanced Manufacturing Building at the University of Nottingham and will also be live streamed for our audience who wish to join us virtually.
The Composites Research group at Nottingham is one of the leading international research groups in this area. The group has worked for over 25 years on Composites Science and Manufacturing projects, focusing on the processing and performance of advanced fibre composites.
Research is applied within a number of sectors including automotive, aerospace, wind energy, power generation and medicine.
The Composites group leads The EPSRC Future Composites Manufacturing Research Hub, developing basic and applied research into composites manufacturing science and technology for the UK community.
The agenda for the event is as follows:

8:00-8:30 - Overview of Composites Research at University of Nottingham and how businesses can collaborate - Dr. Lee Harper - Centre Manager - Composites Research Group, University of Nottingham
8:30-9:00 - Industrial Presenter (TBC)
9:00-9:30 - Networking and Close of Meeting
Free parking is available by the building, although guests will have to leave by 9:15am which is when parking charges commence. There is a Pay & Display car park a short walk from the building for attendees who wish to stay on longer.
This event is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund project Aerospace UP.
