Event Information

We are excited to invite you to our first conference for businesses to attend, where you can learn how domestic abuse relates and is important to businesses and source information that can be taken away to share with your workforce.

Domestic abuse affects more than 30,000 people in Lincolnshire and 75% of those are directly abuse while at work, affecting both their mental and physical wellbeing and productivity while at work.

Domestic Abuse can manifest at work as absenteeism, tardiness or lack of effective working practice, all of which has an impact on your businesses productivity as well as the workforce themselves, however, with the information offered through this conference you can at no cost to your business, improve not only the wellbeing of your workforce, but the productivity of your business.

The conference is aimed at senior managers and corporate leaders within the business as well as those that work in Human resources and Health and Safety departments.

It will be held on Tuesday 29th November, 9:15am to 3:00pm. LIVE online OR at The Showroom, you choose which style of ticket you prefer, either way you will experience the same from this conference.

Key speakers are:

  • Fiona Bowman - sharing her lived experience and how her employer supported her.
  • Louise McGuiness from the Department of Work and Pensions - talking about the link between the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and domestic abuse.

  • Christian Brazier from Respect - sharing working practice with those who abuse and men who are abused.
  • Richard Parnell from Lincoln City Football Club - sharing the work they have carried out to raise awareness with their workforce.

Aims:

  • To raise awareness of the importance of supporting a businesses workforce, who are affected by an unhealthy relationship.
  • Showcase what work has already taken place with businesses and the benefits of that work.
  • And how it has benefitted the workforce and business.

Quote from Lincolnshire Coop: “We have worked successfully with the Domestic Abuse Partnership over a number of years, which has helped us raise awareness of the support that is available in Lincolnshire. This has included face to face training for our HR and learning and development advisors, who cascade this training across our business, as well as collaboration on an e-learning module, which has been shared with all colleagues too.”
