Event Information
Zellar are excited to invite you to join them in a half-day volunteering event aimed at developing and nurturing of a unique green space in Lincoln. Partnering with the charity, Green Synergy, they're organising a half-day volunteering event aimed at creating a wildlife-rich community space.
Join Zellar members across Lincolnshire in volunteering to clear ground, maintain coppice hedging, and sow seeds at Green Synergy's Hillside Community Garden. Spanning 2.5 acres, this garden comprises of lawns, crop growing beds, a heritage orchard, peace and sensory gardens, along with a dedicated children's garden. This unique green space is used by the community, including Lincoln County Hospital employees and visitors. It's also used as a location for Green Synergy's therapeutic gardening projects, to improve the community's mental and physical wellbeing.
The volunteering event is scheduled for Thursday, 21st March 2024, from 9:30am to 1:00pm, meeting at Green Synergy's offices located at 49 Roman Pavement, Lincoln, LN2 5RD. There's no charge but Green Synergy would be very grateful for any donations towards its programmes and materials.
This volunteering opportunity also offers working together with other Zellar businesses providing a chance to network, exchange ideas, and foster a shared commitment to sustainability. Additionally, you can also boost your Zellar score by up to 70 points.
Spaces are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis so if you’d like to secure your spot, please email Kate Coombs at kate@zellar.com with the following details:
- Individual contact name
- Business name
- Business address
- Number of volunteers
Once Kate hears from you, she'll be in touch with further details and to confirm your volunteering places. Spaces are limited so they may have to limit the number of employees attending from a business depending upon interest.
Zellar really hope you'll join them in getting sustainable together!
