The learning experience will provide ample opportunities for discussion with experts and peers about how these concepts apply in the Agrifood sector, as well as giving hands-on practice with relevant examples. Participants in this course will explore the following topics:
- Overview of trustworthy AI
- Discussion of types and sources of bias in machine learning
- Measuring bias in binary classification and beyond
- Techniques for mitigating bias,
- Trade-offs with other verticals
- Large Language Models
These 2-day courses will run as follows, from 10am - 1:30pm. You will need to attend both days.

This course is open for applications to participants from UK-based Small and Medium Enterprises in the Creative Industries that are currently developing or using AI solutions, or looking to employ them in their organisation.
Applicants will need to have:
- Exposure to relevant ML concepts (different types of models; how to train, validate test models; how to measure a model’s performance),
- Experience developing and implementing ML models in python using Jupyter or Google Colab notebooks
You will be asked to demonstrate knowledge in these areas via a brief questionnaire before joining the course.
