Building Connections Training Workshop

Civil Society Consulting has launched a national grassroots movement called Steps to Togetherness, centred around a ‘manual’ of 32 practical actions we can all take to build connections and reduce social isolation. As part of this, CSC has been delivering Building Connections Training - a learning programme originally commissioned by the Campaign to End Loneliness.

This event provides a unique opportunity for VCFSEs in Greater Lincolnshire to take part in the shaping of Civil Society Consulting’s course along with experts in the field of solitude from the International Society for Research on Solitude.

Civil Society Consulting

Civil Society Consulting (CSC) supports organisations advancing health, equality, and social cohesion by providing affordable or free support. Through their work CSC has concluded that many issues we face as a country have a shared root cause: lack of social connection and loss of community. Isolation and loneliness have a detrimental effect on individuals and the wider community. See here for more information: Our events — Civil Society Consulting

This event has been made possible by Julian Stern, Professor of Education and Religion at Bishop Grosseteste University, President of the International Society for Research on Solitude, and Director of WERU: the World Religions and Education Research Unit (@WRERU-Lincoln).
