GLSEA: Increasing Awareness of Common Mental Health Conditions

This session is aimed at anyone interested in understanding more about common mental health conditions, although the workshop will have a section discussing how common mental health conditions impact employers.

It explores the prevalence of mental health conditions, as well as how to spot the symptoms of common mental health conditions, available support, and offers some options for interaction and engagement. Designed for a wide range of people including educators, professionals, and community advocates, this session fosters awareness, reduces stigma, and promotes early intervention strategies to create a more supportive environment (with direct links to working environments) for mental wellbeing.

Charlotte Draper is a Business Research Associate at Bishop Grosseteste University and a dedicated NHS professional, nearing the completion of her MEd in Psychology in Education. With extensive experience in healthcare and mental health support, she is committed to advancing research and practice in mental health across the lifespan. Her expertise encompasses psychoeducation and evidence-based interventions for common mental health conditions, applications of mental health support in educational contexts, and systemic approaches to improving mental health outcomes in professional and community settings.

Sessions though the Greater Lincolnshire Social Economy Academy are primarily aimed at Staff, Volunteers, Trustees and Board members of Voluntary, Community, Faith, Social Enterprise (VCFSE) organisations, we also welcome purpose driven organisations with a clear social or environmental mission.

Organisation must have a registered business address operating in an eligible geographical district area & complete a business enrolment form.
