China Food and Drink Masterclass (London)

Our China Business Advisor and Sector Lead for Food & Drink, Antoaneta Becker, will be holding a series of events in London discussing China's food industry and more.

Event Information

China’s food industry has grown dramatically in the last few decades with an increasing appetite amongst Chinese consumers for imported foods, which are often seen as of higher quality and to be safer. However, while China is an attractive market, it is also a very challenging one. Tastes in food and drink amongst the Chinese are not the same as in the west, Chinese Food Safety Law demand the quality and safety of foreign imported foods to be proven and certified, and regulations affecting the import of food can shift at any time.

This challenging market calls for market knowledge and strong partners in China.

CBBC has developed a China food and drink masterclass with sector specific content which will provide insights on:

•Size and structure of the grocery retail, food services and online market;

•The current demands in the market (and export opportunities)

•Regulatory environment and market access

•Compliance and testing for food exported to China

•Routes to market – offline and online

•Working with Chinese importers and distributors
