The North is facing the very real challenge of reducing carbon emissions to prevent irreversible climate change. 

As the electricity distributor for Yorkshire, Humberside and the North East serving more than 8 million people, Northern Powergrid are holding a stakeholder summit and bringing together leaders from across the region, to shape our future plans and help put our region at the forefront of the low-carbon revolution.

We value your insight and expertise and hope you will be able to join us to discuss a range of issues, including:

   •Providing a smart, clean energy network, shaped by customer and stakeholder needs – today and for future generations 

   •Accelerating decarbonisation and prepare for the realities of our changing climate - A key topic will be how we enable the electrification of transport and support clean air zones  

   •Reshaping our network so it is more responsive to the changing needs of our customers and the growth of new technologies 

   •Balancing the needs of an active network with our social responsibilities as a regional employer
