Pitching for Investment Workshop

A 3 hour, highly interactive workshop to learn how to pitch your business or idea, whether to a single potential investor or to a panel of investors (like Dragons Den).

Event Information

Many of us have seen TV's Dragons Den but very few of us will have had the chance to create or practice a pitch to investors before we actually get that real-life opportunity.

If you would like to learn how to pitch your business or idea, whether to a single potential investor or to a panel of investors (like Dragons Den), then this event is a must for you.  If you think that you might need to pitch for investment, of awards, run the future then come along now and learn what you need to have in your pitch.

This 3 hour, highly interactive workshop will help you understand what investors will want to hear about your business or idea.  You'll learn what to say and, just as importantly, what not to say.  You'll be given the opportunity to create and hone your pitch and, with practice within a "safe" and facilitated environment, you'll learn how to deliver your pitch - with confidence - over 30 seconds, 3 minutes or 10 minutes.

The workshop will be delivered and facilitated by Russell Copley and Michelle Davis who have many successful years of experience in helping businesses pitch, both for investment and for awards; have helped a number of businesses who've appeared on Dragons Den itself; are the driving force behind Business Lincolnshire's Taming the Dragons series of events and who were the inspiration behind the 10x10 Business Accelerator Programme.

Starting with advice on what investors - and awards judges - are looking for, the workshop will contain many handy tips and hints, both in terms of content and also presentational style, before giving you the chance to create and practice your pitch (if you wish) and to receive structured feedback.

As well as copies of the presentation materials used as part of the workshop, delegates will also take home a handy 2-page guide to pitching.
