- How you as a manager and leader impact on the individuals and the team as a whole
- What the principles of team building are, looking at Tuckman’s model of team development, the Belbin Team Role concept and the goal of achieving an autonomous team that is capable of high performance.
- How to manage teams effectively and the importance of getting the balance right between time spent on the task, the individual within the team and the team as a whole.
- How to work towards being a ‘proactive’ rather than ‘reactive’ leader and manager and why it matters. We will remind ourselves of some fundamental personal effectiveness and time-management principles
- How to action plan the development of your team and how to measure progress against achieving the characteristics of a high performing team.
Who Should Attend?
Owners and/or managers who are (or will be) responsible for managing or leading others at a more senior level. The training content is an excellent introduction for those delegates who have had no experience of formal management training but who have experience of managing and leading a team.
The Team Dynamics and Team Building Day has been designed to complement The Effective Leader workshop should delegates wish to attend both events.
How do I attend?
The workshop is fully funded by Business Lincolnshire Growth Hub and open to any business resident in Lincolnshire and meeting the criteria for an SME enterprise. Maximum of 2 delegates per business.
