What is the Business Support?
The Global Growth Service supports globally ambitious businesses to drive their future growth through a step change in export performance. We provide a structured programme of support, tailored to your own specific needs. We will partner with you to capitalise on the enormous growth potential available overseas. This programme is aimed at SME’s with a turnover of £5m-£40m to support their export growth.
The Department for International Trade brings together the Governments Trade Policy, Promotion and Finance to ensure the UK takes advantage of the wealth of opportunities to us. Exporting firms are more innovative, productive and profitable whilst improving their resilience. They account for the majority of R&D in the UK and use their improved international skills to further their performance at home. With the UK leaving the EU there has never been a better time to take advantage of the demand for UK goods and services.
- Define - We will discuss your growth ambitions as a whole and understand how exporting will further enhance your plans. We will agree how this will need to be resourced and how your business will commit to the export growth plan.
- Plan - We will work through an in depth diagnostic assessment of your current situation; your plans and ambitions; and your capability to turn them into reality. You will be allocated an independent and highly experienced Export Growth Manager who will provide assurance of your plans. We will agree the key activities and actions needed to help you achieve your ambitions and we will develop a tailored export plan with you.
- Drive - We will support you to drive the delivery of your export plan. We will help you to identify the best providers of the services and support that you need. To enhance our partnership with you we will co-invest in the funding of services on a matched basis up to a maximum of £3,500.
The Global Growth Service is being run to help DIT to improve and expand our services to you and how we deliver them to achieve maximum benefit. When you sign up for the service you are agreeing to provide regular feedback on your progress, reporting on successes and helping us to share your experiences to inspire other companies to join in our global growth ambitions.
