Support the next generation and shape your future workforce!
Experiences of the Workplace invites businesses like yours to give young people meaningful, real-world insights into the world of work – something they may not get anywhere else.
Statistics show that the more encounters a young person has with the world of work, the less likely they are to be NEET at 19 (not in education employment or training). Specifically, four or more meaningful encounters with an employer or workplace can significantly improve a young person's chance of realising their aspirations and making an informed choice about the future. Now, more than ever before, it is important to prepare young people for employment, both in terms of qualifications and transferable skills.
Why get involved?
Getting involved isn't just good for young people, it's good for your business too! Here’s how:
- Discover future talent – Connect with motivated young people who could become your future workforce.
- Boost your business reputation – Position your company as a leader in supporting skills development.
- Fresh ideas & perspectives – Gain valuable insights from young people exploring your industry.
- Engage your team – Staff mentoring and engagement can improve morale and leadership skills.
- Support your local community - Contribute to GreaterLincolnshire’s future workforce development.

The Greater Lincolnshire Careers Hub
The Greater Lincolnshire Careers Hub connects local businesses with schools and colleges, with support from Lincolnshire County Council, North Lincolnshire Council, North East Lincolnshire Council, and the Humber Outreach Programme (HOP). Together, they create a network of high-calibre volunteers from local businesses, known as Enterprise Advisers.
These volunteers work directly with senior leadership teams in secondary schools and colleges, helping to bridge the gap between education and the world of work. Their involvement enhances each institution’s careers, enterprise, and employer engagement strategy.
If you're a teacher or Careers Leader and would like to learn more about the Careers Hub, please get in touch. To find out more about the Careers Hub, watch our latest video on YouTube.
