Excellence in Lincolnshire Tourism to be honoured in 2019 awards celebration.
Lincolnshire is a fantastic place to live and a fantastic place to visit! From the Coast to the historic city of Lincoln itself, there are plenty of reasons tourists come to Lincolnshire. Not least of all these reasons are the fantastic businesses providing services to tourists across the county. The thirteenth of December brings the launch of the annual Lincolnshire Tourism Excellence Awards where such businesses are honoured for the excellent work they do.
Awards are given across 13 categories including Taste of Lincolnshire, Retailer of the Year, Restaurant of the Year, and Visitor Attraction of the Year. 2018 saw Lincoln Castle win the Overall Excellence award. Across all categories, the Lincolnshire Tourism Excellence awards 2018 attracted 220 nominations, and 5000 public votes.
For 2019, a shortlist will be created from nominations received on the website by an independent panel of experts. The shortlist for some categories will then be put up for a public vote until the 25thof February. The awards ceremony itself is due to take place on the 12thof March 2019.
