What is the Business Support?
Are you a novice or experienced importer or exporter looking for strategic and operational support to help grow your global trade? If you are an SME based in Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire, then this kind of support is available on a fully funded basis.
The Empowering SMEs in International Trade support programme is a package of 1:1, workshop, and Peer support for businesses across the East Midlands, delivered by Global Trade Department and fully funded by the East Midlands Growth Hubs: Business Gateway, D2N2 and Business Lincolnshire.
This support is open to all businesses across the East Midlands who either currently trade internationally or who are planning to start; be they novice or experienced importers/exporters across both goods and services-based industries.
What could it do for your company?
Perhaps you are looking for advice; maybe you are looking to outsource particularly complex tasks, or perhaps you require some bespoke, in-house training for your team. Whilst the programme has a framework, support is 100% client-led and fully adaptable to ensure it delivers the greatest value to you and your business.
Core modules of the programme include:
- Lunchtime Webinars (topical, snappy, bite-size 1-hour sessions)
- Dedicated 1:1 support via Global Trade Clinics (up to 2 hours support)
- Dedicated 1:1 support via Global Trade Deep Dive sessions (up to 8 hours support)
- Global Trade Compliance Reviews (up to 8 hours support)
- Sustainable Trade Planning (up to 12 hours support)
- Global Trader Peer Support sessions (up to 5 sessions of 2 hours) for cohorts of up to 10 delegates
- Global Trade Manager Programme (up to 30 hours) hands on, operational support from a dedicated Global Trade Manager to help deliver against importing/exporting targets and objectives
