What is the Business Support?
Is your business in the Agri-Food supply chain? Do you grow or manufacture food and drink produce? Is your business a Small to Medium Enterprise? If so, your business could be eligible for support through the Greater Lincolnshire Agri-Food Innovation Platform.
This European Regional Development Fund Project (ERDF) aims to support agri-food businesses and their supply chains in the Greater Lincolnshire LEP area, in the innovation of products, processes, and services. Support may cover areas such as food waste, security, provenance and safety, packaging and labelling, automation, and product and process innovation.
Businesses will have access to research, knowledge transfer, and business support through the University of Lincoln’s National Centre for Food Manufacturing (NCFM), Lincoln Institute for Agri-Food Technology (LIAT), and Grimsby Institute’s Food Refrigeration and Process Engineering Research Centre.
Depending on your project, the following facilities and expertise may be available to support innovation in your business:
- Food Microbiology Laboratory
- Food Preparation Rooms
- Test Kitchen
- Sensory Suite
- Learning Resource Centre
- Computer Science
- Robotics and Automation
- Consumer Trends
- Conference, Seminar and Board Rooms
Your business must be an Agri-Food Sector business (excluding primary agriculture) to be eligible for this support.

There is up to £2000 worth of technical support from National Centre for Food Manufacturing plus the opportunity for your business to have access to relevant networking and referrals.
