What is the Business Support?

The fully funded Impact Booster Programme is being run at Harlaxton College in partnership with South Kesteven District Council throughout 2024/25 and will support community focused organisations such as charities, social enterprises, foundations, SMEs and not-for-profit groups to improve their performance and impact. Applications are invited now.

Often referred to as the ‘Social Economy’ these organisations form an integral part of the regional economy, providing valuable services and support to often disadvantaged or rural parts of the county and often tackling tough and complex issues.

The programme is  and will cover three key areas of organisational development critical in sustainable and innovative social and community organisations:

• Strategy Development and Business Models
• Funding and Fundraising in the Social Economy
• Impact Measurement

These elements and our innovative and interactive style of delivery will enable participating organisations to identify organisational gaps, inefficiencies, partnership working opportunities, and areas for improvement within their operations and programmes, enhancing their ability to collaborate across sectors and influence policy.

Between the workshops candidates will be required to undertake activities within their organisation, applying the learning from the workshop undertaken, and preparing the groundwork for future workshops. The activities will be set at the end of each workshop with timelines and success measures agreed.

During the experiential learning phase, candidates will be provided with 1-2-1 organisational mentoring and coaching to complete the implementation of learning and implement organisational change within their social economy organisation.

The programme will run over eight weeks at three in person and online workshops starting in June 2024. The course is fully funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

Restrictions

To qualify your organisation must be based in the South Kesteven District Council area.
