What is the grant available for?

These grants will be administered and delivered by your local rate billing authority and the schemes will be made available to affected businesses as soon as they are able.

Businesses in the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors may be eligible to receive a one-off grant worth up to £9,000, the grant is provided on a per-property basis to support businesses through the latest restrictions which came into force on 5th January 2021.

The new one-off grants come in addition to the Local Restriction Support Grants worth up to £3,000 for businesses required by government to close due to local or national restrictions.

Local Authority websites will publish eligibility criteria via their websites. Please read the eligibility criteria carefully to ensure that you meet all of the requirements for this grant.

What grant amounts are available?

One off grant amounts for eligible businesses are as follows:

• £4,000 for businesses with a rateable value of £15,000 or under


• £6,000 for businesses with a rateable value between £15,000 and £51,000


• £9,000 for businesses with a rateable value of over £51,000
