Start Up to Scale Up provides workshops for individuals considering setting up in business, advice & mentoring for early staged businesses by a professional Business Start Up Adviser and discretionary grant funding.

Restrictions

Aimed at pre-starts and businesses trading less than 36 months across Boston, East Lindsey and South Holland.

The transition from business idea to registering your business and then early stages of running your own business can be a scary proposition. What could improve this? How about the advice of an impartial, experienced business person? Someone to act as a sounding board, providing focused and objective assistance. Our professional Start-up Business Advisers provide advice to support new and early-stage businesses as well as individuals considering self-employment.

What can a business expect by working with a Start-up Business Adviser?

A Start-up Business Adviser has a genuine interest in supporting pre-starts and early-stage businesses and the ability to use their own experiences across a range of specialisms.
They possess an in-depth knowledge of the business support landscape and the ability to
advise individuals and businesses on the range of options as well as having excellent mentoring and coaching skills.

Support includes:

  • Start-up business plan creation and financial forecasting to assess viability
  • Support to access finance in the forms of grants, loans and investment
  • Offering mentoring and coaching to help a business start, survive, adapt to changing environments
  • Providing support on business strategy to aid growth
  • Giving advice on business improvement techniques
  • Advice on digital adoption/marketing
  • Introducing businesses to networks and associates
  • Supporting businesses to reduce their energy use and carbon footprint

To apply for the grant you must be working with the Start Up Business Adviser who will work through this process with you.
