What is the grant available for?
This programme supports early-stage development activities necessary to deliver projects ready for capital investment, aligning with industry strategies to make, nurture to make and protect.
Grants ranging from £150,000 to £500,000 are available to fund pre-investment work. Eligible applicants include UK companies in offshore wind as well as those from related sectors such as onshore wind, aerospace, oil and gas, nuclear, automotive, marine, defence and general manufacturing. Other sectors may also apply if they demonstrate a clear plan to grow their offshore wind market share.
Funding can be used for offshore wind components, equipment and systems, with projects needing to align with key supply chain areas including foundations, turbine technology, electrical systems, installation, operations or environmental services.
Eligible activities cover a range of pre-investment tasks such as engineering design studies, feasibility work, equipment and facility specification, site selection and investment case preparation.

Percentage of project cost
Applicants may receive funding for eligible Project costs of up to 50% of the total Project budget.
