Reclaim Heritage CIC offers professional heritage community consultancy services across the UK. We closely engage with communities to recognize and formulate strategies for maximizing the positive social impact of archaeology within projects. Our experienced team design and deliver archaeological fieldwork across the UK – from test pits and fieldwalking to complex research excavations.
Today, most archaeology is recovered through developer-funded schemes, where the work undertaken is not understood by local communities and shared more broadly with the researching community so it’s full value can be felt. We intend to proactively build relationships between the siloed spheres of developer, academic institutions and local communities. To that end, it seemed natural, in alignment with our business goals and values, to be founded as a Community Interest Company where profits gained are reinvested for the good of the community.
