Supporting Growth for SMEs Across Greater Lincolnshire

Business Lincolnshire Grant for Established Businesses

If your business has been trading for over 12 months, you could be eligible for a £1,000 grant to support growth, productivity, and innovation.

What Can the Grant Support?

Projects must align with UKSPF outcomes and may include:

  • Growth strategy development
  • Financial systems improvement
  • Process and accreditation development
  • Resource efficiency upgrades
  • Leadership and management training
  • Market expansion
  • Skills development and training
  • Digitisation (e.g. website enhancements)
  • New product/service development
  • R&D and consultancy support
  • First trade show participation (stand/marketing collateral only)

Grant Details

  • Fixed grant amount: £1,000
  • Match funding required:
    • SMEs with 10 or fewer employees: 75% intervention rate
    • SMEs with more than 10 employees: 50% intervention rate
  • Minimum item value: £100
  • Maximum single item value: £5,000 (must be revenue spend)

Business Growth Grant

You’re eligible if:

  • You’re an SME in the Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority area
  • You’ve been trading for more than 12 months
  • You’re working with a Business Adviser to complete a business/project review

To qualify, your project should aim to achieve at least one of the following:

  • Creation of new, permanent, paid full-time equivalent (FTE) jobs that did not exist before the intervention.
  • Introduction of new products or services to the market that the business has not previously offered.
  • Adoption of technologies or processes that are new to the business, improving operations or capabilities.
  • Expansion into new domestic or international markets, including launching new products or conducting market research.

The grant cannot support:

  • Standard office IT (e.g. laptops, phones)
  • Ongoing business costs (e.g. rent, rates)
  • Statutory requirements
  • Retrospective costs
  • Travel, accommodation, or entertainment
  • Salaries, pensions, or staff costs
  • Political, legal, or financial liabilities

  1. Work with a Business Adviser to complete an Expression of Interest (EOI)
  2. Submit a full online application with quotes
  3. Await grant offer confirmation
  4. Make purchases and submit a claim with evidence
  5. Approved claims are paid in the next fortnightly payment run

  • Minimum of 2 quotes per item encouraged
  • Justification required if choosing a non-lowest quote
  • No purchases via finance agreements
  • All items must be used exclusively for the project
