Diplomatic Advisory Hub – British Chambers of Commerce
The Diplomatic Advisory Hub is a joint initiative between the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), designed to help UK SMEs trade internationally with greater confidence. The service provides access to expert diplomatic insight, helping businesses understand political, regulatory and geographical risks and opportunities in overseas markets.
The service is aimed at UK small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that are currently exporting or are considering expanding into international markets.
Businesses can gain valuable insights into overseas markets, improve their understanding of international risks, strengthen supply chain resilience, and access UK Government-backed support to help them grow their export activity. The Hub also provides a route for SMEs to share feedback and influence government policy relating to international trade and exporting.
What Support is Available?
The Hub offers practical support to businesses already exporting or looking to enter new international markets, including:
- Access to expert advice from former diplomats and international trade specialists.
- Information on geopolitical, regulatory and market risks.
- Horizon scanning and market intelligence to support business resilience and growth.
- Referrals and introductions to relevant government and trade support services.
- Crisis support during periods of market disruption or international instability.
- Webinars, roadshows and events focused on exporting opportunities and international trade.
