UK Games Fund: Content Fund

The UK Games Fund Content Fund provides grants of £100,000 to £250,000 to support the development of commercial entertainment video games. Funding is designed to help established UK games development businesses grow, create jobs, secure additional investment, and bring game projects closer to market.

Eligible applicants must be UK-registered SMEs with PAYE employees engaged in games development in the UK. Projects should have an existing prototype, demonstrate commercial potential, and show how the funding will unlock further investment, publishing opportunities, audience growth, or other forms of leverage.

Funding can be used towards staff and contractor costs directly related to game development activities. Applicants are expected to contribute to overall project costs, with total project expenditure being at least double the amount of grant requested.
