Innovation Loans Expression of Interest

Innovate UK is inviting UK-registered micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for an Innovation Loan. Successful EOI applicants will be invited to submit a full application for funding to support late-stage research and development projects with strong commercial potential.

Who Can Apply?

Applicants must be:

• UK-registered micro, small or medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
• Developing highly innovative, late-stage R&D projects
• Able to demonstrate a clear route to commercialisation and economic impact
• Able to show they:
  • Need public funding
  • Can cover interest payments
  • Will be able to repay the loan

Eligible Projects

Projects must lead to:

• New or significantly improved products, processes or services
• Innovations that are ahead of what is currently available on the market
• Innovative applications of existing technologies, products or services
• New or innovative business models
