Turning Opportunities into Action

Looking to bring fresh thinking into your business, explore new opportunities or turn an idea into action?

Join us for a practical, interactive workshop designed to help you explore a real challenge or opportunity from your own business, develop new ideas and identify practical steps to take them forward

Innovation doesn’t have to mean inventing something completely new. Sometimes, the biggest opportunities come from looking differently at your customers, products, services, processes or ways of working.

You’ll also hear from a University of Lincoln academic, who will share their experience of working with a business on an innovation project, bringing to life how academic–business collaboration can help turn ideas into action

What you’ll gain

Through practical activities and discussions, you will:

  • Develop an innovation mindset and learn to spot new opportunities for your business.
  • Discover simple, practical tools to turn challenges and opportunities into innovative ideas.
  • Generate and build on ideas with other participants, gaining fresh perspectives and inspiration.
  • Develop a promising idea into a clearer business proposition and identify what needs to be tested.
  • Leave with a practical experiment or next step to take your ideas forward.
  • Discover how University expertise, research and collaboration could support your innovation journey

Whether you’re developing a product or service, improving processes, exploring new markets or approaching a challenge differently, you’ll leave with useful tools and fresh perspectives.

No previous innovation experience required. Just bring your curiosity and an openness to thinking differently!
