End Date: 11/11/2026

The ADOPT Facilitator Support Grant: Round 12 is delivered through the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) as part of the Farming Innovation Programme, in partnership with Innovate UK. The competition is designed to help farmers, growers and foresters in England access specialist support when preparing applications for future Full ADOPT Grant competitions.

Successful applicants can receive a grant of £2,500 to engage an external Project Facilitator registered on the Innovate UK Business Connect database. The facilitator will support the development and submission of an eligible Full ADOPT Grant application.

The future Full ADOPT project must involve an on-farm trial or experiment that tests innovative ideas, technologies, practices or solutions in real farming conditions. Proposed projects should address challenges or opportunities linked to productivity, resilience, sustainability or progress towards net zero farming.

Applicants must be active farming, growing or forestry businesses based in England, including sole traders and partnerships, and must hold a UK bank account. The grant provides 100% funding of the £2,500 facilitator cost. Payment is only made after the applicant provides evidence that their Full ADOPT Grant application has been submitted for assessment and a claim has been submitted within three months of receiving the Grant Offer Letter.

Applications are submitted through the Government Grants portal.
